Abloy High Security Hasp and Padlocks

Abloy PL299 HaspMade of cold-rolled steel with electro-plated black finish to visually blend into the look of machines.

Easily attached to late model cold drink machines.

Quick installation: will not damage the machines insulation.

Designed to restrict prying and exterior access to the bill accepter.

Built to be used with PL975 or PL976 ABLOY Maximum Security Puck Locks.

The covered portion of the Hasp protects the concealed shackle and lock body, yet is easily unlocked by authorized employees.

Introduced to become a part of your ABLOY Security System along with ABLOY Puck Locks, T-Handle Cylinders CL290 and CL291 and FX Keyring Padlocks.

ABLOY PL299 Shut-Out Haps Installation Instructions

Required Tools

  1. Power drill and 19/64" metal bit
  2. 1/2" and 7/16" open-end wrenches (not enough room for a socket wrench)
  3. Hammer (to help seat the metal bolts).
  4. Metal file (to smooth interior sharp edges of drilled holes)
  5. Sharp, pointed metal marker (to mark correct drill spots for Step 4 above)

Installation Procedure

  1. Remove second set of bolts from side of vending machine door (See Figure 1)
  2. Place small reinforcement plate on inside of these door holes and large, covered portion of Hasp on outside of holes
  3. (See Figure 2). Align horizontally: and attach with two K" bolts and two nnts.
  4. Close and lock door.
  5. Align small portion of Hasp and mark its hole locations on side of machine with a sharp tool (see Tool list below).
  6. Drill two 3/8" holes through the side of the vending machine wall (See Tool List).
  7. Align the large reinforcement plate on the inside of the machine wall and the small portion of the Hasp on the outside of the two new holes (See Figure 3) and attach using remaining long bolts and nuts.
  8. Install ABLOY PL340/25 or PL341/25 padlock.
